Exeger utsågs på torsdagskvällen till Årets nanoföretag 2015. Utmärkelsen ges ut årligen för att uppmärksamma svensk nanoteknologi. Det är tredje året priset delas ut.
Swedish real estate company Wallenstam invests MSEK 10 in solar cell manufacturer Exeger (formerly known as NLAB Solar) and becomes a new shareholder of the company. The investment completes the project funding of MSEK 135 which Exeger has successfully raised to develop industrial production of their new solar cell technology.
The solar cell company NLAB Solar AB intends to change its name to Exeger Sweden AB. The name change emphasizes the transition from a small technology company to a commercial company with industrial scale production. Exeger alludes to the term exergy which is the portion of energy which can be converted to mechanical work through a technical process.
On March 15, 2013, NLAB Solar had the opportunity to host representatives from the European Commission, LIFE+ Unit. Mr. Stefan Welin, Technical Desk Officer and Mr. Stefan Foersch, Financial Desk Officer from European Commission, and Mr. Pekka Hänninen, Monitoring Consultant from Astrale GEIE-ELLE, visited NLAB Solar's main office.
NLAB Solar's CEO, Giovanni Fili, participated in a roundtable discussion with U.S. Secretary of Energy, Steven Chu. There, Giovanni shared about NLAB Solar's cutting-edge clean energy solution. The roundatable discussion was organized by the Swedish American Green Alliance (SAGA), a clean energy partnership between the Government of Sweden and the U.S. Embassy in Sweden.
